Photos: BE Beautifully Brilliant TSV AD #3

by Jen on July 8, 2013

I just got the third installment of the Beautifully Brilliant collection, and it has some really nice colors this time around. The kit includes the following eight pieces:

  • READY Eyeshadow Quad in The Discovery–Spotlight (shimmering opalescent cream), Fortune (matte pink seashell), Truffle (shimmering brown) and Eureka (metallic m0ss)
  • READY Liner Shadow Duo in The Hide & Seek–Quest (brown) and Query (beautiful dark plum purple)
  • Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Future Star–a very pale peachy shade
  • Perfect Light Mineral Veil–this is something entirely new, a Mineral Veil finishing powder that “adapts to UV light. . . to help you look your best in any lighting.”
  • Marvelous Mauve Blush–described as a “pop of fresh mauve” I haven’t opened this one because I don’t wear blush
  • Feather Light Brush–both brushes have a pretty silvery metallic handle and ferrule, so they’re very festive
  • Double-Ended Long Tapered Shadow and Liner Brush–a nice brush, but if you’re an addict you probably already have one (or two or three) of these.
  • Bag–this one is quite purse-like, and you could get away with carrying it as a clutch in a pinch. It’s a nice bronze color and has a magnetic closure at the top with a light beige interior lining.

I will readily admit that these are hasty photos, and the swatches especially didn’t come through all that clearly. I couldn’t get Fortune from the shadow quad to show up at all, because it’s very close to my skin color. The other three shades are quite shimmery, but in a good way–I think they would be wearable for just about anyone. Eureka isn’t as green as I expected from looking at it in the pan, but Spotlight and Truffle are quite nice. I’ll certainly get a lot of use out of the Hide & Seek eyeliner palette, they’re great shades I can use every day.

I’m a little disappointed in the very pale Moxie gloss, because I like more color on my lips and this one looks very light/neutral. I’ll find a good home for it and the blush too. The brushes and bag are nice, but nothing particularly special. I really like the Perfect Light Mineral Veil, though of course I haven’t finished using the original container I got in the first kit of this series. The main stars for me are the two eye palettes, so I’m happy with my purchase and can’t wait to see what is in the final kit in the series. It will be here in a couple of months, and of course I’ll be posting photos when I get it.
