New at Ulta: Stila’s Spring Collection, Remington i-Light Pro, Clarisonic Mia 2

by Jen on January 4, 2012

I was just flipping through the latest Ulta catalog and saw a few interesting items:

Stila’s Spring collection is already available. The In the Garden Eye Shadow Palette ($39) has ten shades, seven neutrals plus three jewel-toned pops of color in pink, teal, and blue. They’re also offering Jewel eye shadow singles for $20 and new Smudge Crayon Waterproof Eye Colors ($22) that remind me in both concept and color options of the Tarte Eye Candy shadow sticks I got from QVC last month.

Those items should be available at other outlets, if they aren’t already, but Ulta also has an exclusive on Stila’s new Stay All Day 10 -in- 1 HD Beauty Balm ($38) that promises “wrinkle reducing, skin perfecting, high definition, age-defying” benefits. Since the catalog says “First at Ulta” I suspect that this is a limited time exclusive that will be available at other outlets at some point in the future.

If you just can’t wait, Ulta is currently offering a free gift with purchase, a Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in your choice of Royal or Electric with any $25 Stila purchase.

Another interesting product I saw is the Remington i-Light Pro Hair Removal System ($249.99), which uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to target subsurface hairs and prevent regrowth. I know that hair removal is a big business these days, but until now the only home laser hair removal system I had heard of is the Tria, which is often featured on QVC. The Remington unit is considerably less expensive than the Tria, and might be worth investigating if you’re interested in this sort of product.

Finally, Ulta is now advertising an “exclusive” Clarisonic & Philosophy four piece kit ($149) that includes the Clarisonic Mia 2 (in your choice of pink or white), a sensitive brush head, three ounces of Purity Made Simple, the pLink charger, and travel case. This isn’t as good a deal as QVC featured on Black Friday 2011, when the kit was $25 less and came with a bonus deep pore cleaning brush, but I highly recommend this new Ulta set for anyone who missed out on that previous deal. I like the Mia 2 even better than the Clarisonic Plus for daily cleansing (and of course for travel) because it’s lighter and easier to handle, but still has two speeds and the all important t-timer.
